Beauty comes in so many shapes and sizes. Sometimes we seem to forget that not everyone looks the same. In fact the majority of people in the world don’t have the body types of the fashion models many young girls aspire to look like. Did you know that only 2% of women actually have that body type?
Even I don’t have that figure. When most people see me, at just over six feet tall and a slim build, they automatically think my body is a model’s body. Well, it’s close but, when I pursued that industry, even I was told I didn’t fit. I was never quite skinny enough. It took time for me to accept that my body is not what they wanted. I needed to learn to love me for me and not for what they wanted me to be.
We’re all not supposed to be looking exactly alike anyway or this world would be a boring place. I know it sounds cliché but think about it. If we all looked the same it would be like some freaky science fiction film. As if we were all robots made from the same mold.
Anyway, today look at yourself and remember, you’re beauty comes from who you are no matter what your shape.
