They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Does that mean we should be waiting for another person to behold our beauty? Society has it’s a way of defining what beauty should be. Depending on your culture or where you live, the definition of it varies. In North America the tall, slim model figure is what many women aspire to be. Women see runway models who are 5’9″ or taller and seeming to have all the confidence in the world and think life would be better if only they looked like that.
May women also spend their lives looking for approval from others. Wanting to constantly hear people say they are pretty, or beautiful.
How about we start looking for approval from ourselves?
As women, we sometimes forget that we harness the true beauty of the world. Everything begins with us. Women give birth to new life every day. We have the ability to do things that change the world.
Today I challenge you to look at yourself and be the beholder of your own beauty. That’s right, it must start with you first looking at yourself and saying, “I’m beautiful and I will acknowledge the beauty I have within and on the outside. If I don’t know I’m beautiful then other won’t see it either.”
